Goshen Medical Goes live with
mrecord EMR System
The Challenge
Goshen had grown to a 17-center medical practice
in few years and was looking forward to installing
an EMR system for better practice and medical
records management and regulation compliance.
Goshen Medical Center had partnered with mrecord
three years ago for managing their medical transcription
requirements. mrecord provided quality medical
transcription, advanced technology, & superior
customer care consistently, and Goshen was satisfied
with the services provided by mrecord.
The Solution
regarding future products and services for healthcare
providers and added an Electronic Medical Record
System & Practice Management System to its
products portfolio in the year 2005-2006. These
products were designed and developed to ensure
that the healthcare providers and their office
staff is empowered to practice better and efficiently.

Goshen for implementation of EMR system in one
of their centers at Trenton, NC. Goshen was able

been topnotch not only during implementation of
EMR but even after the Go-live stage - mrecord
customer support team is always accessible at
any time 24 x 7.
mrecord had dedicated a team to train and install
the EMR system at the Trenton Center. This team
trained the staff at Goshen on site as well as
online training via the web was provided by mrecord
implementation team. All queries were answered
and all inhibitions were addressed. Our team was
aware of the various health information systems
Goshen wanted integration with to streamline their
practice operations. mrecord team worked on other
installation and training intricacies and following
a few months, Goshen was ready to Go-Live in December
2006. Our technical support personnel were available
for any queries or difficulties faced by the staff
at Goshen.
The Results
TIt has been two months since the Go-Live stage
and Goshen has already started seeing the benefits
of EMR implementation.

Rather than depending
on paper charts, now office staff at Goshen
accesses the EMR system whenever they need
to from their own workstation. They are able
to access medical records securely and quickly.
Goshen has gone paperless following mrecord
EMR implementation. They have also saved on
office space as well which was used to store
thousands of paper charts. |

Integration with
labs, hospitals, pharmacies, other HIS, and
clinicians made all patient medical information
available to the physicians in a few seconds
- this assisted Goshen physicians in making
better treatment recommendations. |

Inbuilt collaborative tools
in mrecord EMR reduced duplication of work,
data entry while at the same time enhanced
quality of communication within the practice.

Goshen staff was able to send
legible prescriptions using mrecord EMR system
with the help of an inbuilt comprehensive
drug database. |

Increased productivity was also
seen as many tasks are automated now including
clinical and document management processes
right from finding patient charts, retrieving
medical reports, faxing reports, sending prescriptions,
AR management, & scheduling appointments. |

The staff at Goshen believes
they will see increased revenues as average
man-hour cost to establish a chart was reduced
considerably. Administrative costs were also
reduced substantially as many tasks are partly
or wholly automated. Office manager at Trenton
